When you get up early
In the morning everything

A good time for planning
Your day and meditating
As you watch the sun rise
In the east in all its
Glory.

I don’t know why I play
Bingo. I never win any

Junk anyway. Oh, well,
I guess I fulfill my socializing
Requirement.
Reverence
The smile of a baby,
Helping people through
Hard times, the soaring
Steeple of a church,
Tutoring an underprivileged
Child in school, and a million
Other ways to help people
That causes reverence
For the human spirit.

A street portrait artist
Made his living sketching
Portraits of people who
Would agree to sit with
Him. He barely eked out
A living doing what he
Loved. People loved the
Street artist.
Silence
If indeed you must be candid,
Be candid beautifully,
Otherwise keep silent, for there
Is a man in our neighborhood
Who is dying.
Wish
It’s my one true wish
As I know and understand
This light to be my home
