Early to Rise
When you get up early
In the morning everything
Is quiet and peaceful. It’s
A good time for planning
Your day and meditating
As you watch the sun rise
In the east in all its
Glory.
Help
Sometimes we all
Need help. We look
In all sorts of places
And talk to people
That we can trust.
But when you get
Right down to it, the
Foolproof source of
Help is from God–
Take it to the Lord
In prayer.
“Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).
Splendor
She walks in splendor.
She is lovely in every
Way. Her sweetness
Knows no bounds. She
Is my lover, my wife.

My mother never fed
Me leftovers. She spent
A lot of time fixing the
Best meals I will always
Remember. She’s gone
Now, but her meals are
Not the only loving
Things I’ll remember
About her.
Foundered
A homeless man liked to eat
Fried frog legs, because they
Tasted like chicken. And one
Day he ate so many that he
Became foundered on them,
Never wanting to eat frog
Legs again.
Where do Angels Go?
They go to every human being
Who is suffering. They go to
Hospitals, nursing homes and
Homeless shelters. Everyone
Has a guardian angel.
No Bingo Today
When I saw the no bingo
Sign today, I yelled GREAT–
I hate that game! People
Sitting around playing for
The chance of winning
Potato chips or soft drinks,
When I would rather win a
Big, fat bacon cheeseburger!
Oh well, it gives elderly
People something to do at
The senior center.
Growth
One fact about the
Living world around
Us is that everything
Is in some sort of
Growth. From plants
To animals to cute
Little babies, nothing
Can stop this energy.
The Office
I dreamed I worked in a
Huge office building.
Everyone had their own
Desk, but nobody had
Anything to do. Shuffling
Through papers, going
Through drawers got old
After awhile. Things got
Pretty weird. Eventually,
I told myself I was
Dreaming and woke up.
