Dare to be true.
Dare to be loving.
Dare to be caring.
Dare to be compassionate.
Dare to be yourself.

Back to the Country
The call of the country is
There. Everyone wants to
Go back to their roots.
How about you!
Spirits or Fog?
Set far back off the street is the
Woodmere State Hospital for the Insane
A large metal fence surrounds the hospital
Giving it the look of a prison
On foggy nights when driving through the
Park one can swear they see detached bodies
Of fog crossing the road
Recently they found a small cemetery for
Patients who died while there at Woodmere
Their spirits appear to remind us not to
Forget about them
Solitude
Persons who are are aware of alone
And competent to speak
In the space of solitude
Make it possible for themselves
And others
To find the value of the human world
Life
I sit in my room on a
Rainy day
My ceiling leaks in one
Place and I have a bucket
On the floor underneath
To catch the drips
I think: each drip is like a
Second of my life disappearing
Down the drain
Museum
I found this museum on
A quiet street on the
Edge of town with an
Inconspicuous sign in
The front
It was the Museum of Broken Dreams
The creepy thing about
It was if a person entered
The museum that was the
Last anyone ever saw of
Them again
Touch
I stand on a path
Before me
Such that I need
For you to be on the
Same path dearly
Coincided we touch
While there is
Still time
Coup
Chickens are roosting in the lobby
Horses are making their way up
The marble staircase
Humans are hiding in their rooms
They are considering calling the
Humane Society swat team
Voices
Once when I worked in a
Sleazy hospital that took
Over a perfectly good Hospital
I took a break
One night and found the
Keys to abandoned surgical
Suites and decided to go on
A tour….the air became thick
As I wandered from room to
Room
Then the voices came, soft
Leading voices asking for
Relief and release to the
Other side
Magic
Waking up and having the
Awareness that you are
Unique and have something
To give to the world
That no one else is able to
Contribute
RIP- Steve, 1950-2022
