Sun

October 1, 2023 by wordman2022

Life comes from the sun.
Its life giving rays bathe
The earth and everything
From tadpoles to mighty
Trees hundreds of feet
Tall. Civilizations in the
Past used to worship
The sun.

Yellow Camel

September 30, 2023 by wordman2022

The suburbs are known
For their blandness and
Routine sameness. People
Go to work, come home,
Kids go to school, come
Home. One day the reality
Was shattered when the
Workers going to work
Found a yellow camel
In the middle of the
Road. CNN, ABC,CBS
Were all there to cover
The story.

It Doesn’t Matter

September 29, 2023 by wordman2022

What matters and what
Doesn’t is a big item on
The minds of most people.
It’s something a lot of
People lay awake nights
Mulling over. Then it
Becomes clear to them–
They can finally sleep by
Counting sheep.

The Octopus

September 28, 2023 by WordmanofAlcatraz

A deep sea creature that
Shoots its self along by
Jets of water. When
Threat comes from
Enemies it squirts jets
Of ink for camouflage.
It captures its food with
Its tentacles. A king of
The deep.

Autumn

September 27, 2023September 29, 2023 by wordman2022

It’s getting cooler, the leaves
Are changing into vibrant colors.
Time to stoke the fire in the
Fireplace. And to enjoy a mug of
Hot chocolate, thinking about
The fast approaching holidays.

Thunderstorms

September 26, 2023 by wordman2022

One of those days to
Stay in — brilliant bolts
Of lightening uncover
Everything. The thunder
Shakes God’s creatures
Large and small. To
Finish it off come the
Torrential rains washing
Away the evil.

Beautiful Lady

Her beautiful sweet smile is

The first and last thing that

Comes to mind every day

This lady is making me smile

Because this is true love

G e o r g e

September 24, 2023September 26, 2023 by wordman2022

George is a quiet fellow.
George is a cactus.
You can’t shake hands
With him because of
His prickly spines.
We just sit and look
At each other. He’s
Low maintenance,
A little water every
Couple of weeks.
George would like
Some friends.

Car of Idiots

September 23, 2023September 26, 2023 by wordman2022

Every once in a while you
See them out on the streets.
The car is packed full of
People with goofball looks.
They hang their legs out of
The car windows and cruise
Around and around singing
Off-key songs to blaring
Music. It’s been said they
May have come from
Another planet–of Goofs.

Precious Moments

September 22, 2023September 24, 2023 by wordman2022

A newborn baby smiling
A sunny day during frigid temps
An elderly couple gently
holding hands
A young bride and groom
nervously saying their I dos
And good ole life itself
