I am going to live my life
From year to year
Facing what happens without
Hesitation, not being in a hurry
Or running away
Or being sorry for the things
That disappeared

Sidewalk
An old man wearing a tattered
Coat limps down the sidewalk
On a cold winter day carrying
His camera with him wrapped
Up in a newspaper
Taking pictures was his livelihood
Now it is all he can do to get back
To the warmth of his one room
Apartment
Life is a Poem
We live our life in
Many different ways
Mad, loving, lonely,
Sick, healthy, productive,
Frustrated. But we can turn
Coal into diamonds by living
Life as a poem anyway
Life
I sit in my room on a
Rainy day
My ceiling leaks in one
Place and I have a bucket
On the floor underneath
To catch the drips
I think: each drip is like a
Second of my life disappearing
Down the drain
The Boss Will See You Now
The old man lies in his
Bed, eyes closed,
Surrounded by family.
They watch him reach
Up and grasp at
Something they can not
See.
Last words they heard
Him speak was the
Name of his wife,
And then he was gone.
Down But Not Out
The years sometime take their toll
and give us challenges we did not
see coming
but the warrior in us gathers our
strength together just like in the
old days, to fight the enemy and
rise above our challenges. Steve,
do not forget your guardian angels
are with you
