The poet is lost, he wanders
All over town, even going
Out to the countryside. He
Is sure he has left something
Somewhere but forgot
Where. What the poet is
Looking for is the perfect
Word to finish his poem.

Cathedral
Sitting in the center of
The city stands the
Towering cathedral,
A source of faith and
Worship for followers
From all over the city.
It could be a finger
Pointing straight to
Heaven.
Happiness
Happiness soars like
The wind blows the
Hair of people. Flags
Flap vigorously in
The town square
For all to look at
While holding on
To their hats. They
Are happy.
Rivers
Many towns started on a
River. As the town grew
It became a city which is
Where many of us live.
I don’t know what it is,
But the river holds an
Attraction for us that
Draws us to its banks
And be hypnotized
By its waves.
Serenity Pool
Deep in the woods away
From the noise of the
City is a haven of peace
Called Serenity Pool.
It has benches around
It so people can sit and
Reflect and make decisions.
Couples can be together
In peace. Looking into
The pool you can see
Into the future.
Locked Unit
no track of time
entombed darkly
faint sticky sounds
impending nudge through
pop slimy gooey squeeze
down to dirt city with
barbed wire godless creatures
dragged into a locked unit
I’m stripped of everything
except my clothes and a
shred of dignity and thoughts
they won’t let me see the stars
I don’t dare tell them I’m a poet
if they know, the subhuman
soultakers would subvert the truth
