George is a quiet fellow.
George is a cactus.
You can’t shake hands
With him because of
His prickly spines.
We just sit and look
At each other. He’s
Low maintenance,
A little water every
Couple of weeks.
George would like
Some friends.

Precious Moments
A newborn baby smiling
A sunny day during frigid temps
An elderly couple gently
holding hands
A young bride and groom
nervously saying their I dos
And good ole life itself
Help
Sometimes we all
Need help. We look
In all sorts of places
And talk to people
That we can trust.
But when you get
Right down to it, the
Foolproof source of
Help is from God–
Take it to the Lord
In prayer.
“Give all your worries and cares to God,
for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).
Together in Heaven
We’re together here on earth
But we don’t know how many
Days any of us have left. The
Idea is to spend our time in
Harmony and doing things
Together. But the hammer
Falls: God takes both of us.
We are finally together in
Heaven.
Creating
I create little vacuums
Cupped between my hands
That turn into little
Solar systems and
Then let them go.
It’s exhausting work.
Realization
What would we like to see happen?
Who drove the nails into our hands?
Shame engulfing us like flames
On a computer screen we watch it
unfold and then drive off into the
Grand Canyon
The fall, how far, is the original sin,
we realize
Did we need all those nails? Was the
torture necessary? This is how we find
out who we are
