Bob always had a large
Forehead. He was used to
It, since it was a family trait.
People would comment
About it, but usually not in
A derogatory way. He
Convinced people he was
Pretty smart.

Lost in the Forest
What started out as a day
Hike turned out to be a
Struggle for survival that
Would last a few months.
He had fallen and hit his
Head and knocked himself
Unconscious. When awake,
It took the hiker awhile
To regain his memory and
Find his way out of the
Overgrown forest.
Snow Cone
Someone just popped
Their head in the door
And asked me if I wanted
A rainbow snow cone.
Really now.
Jogging in a Blizzard
A jogger who has jogged long
Enough won’t miss a day come
Hell or high water. Today we
Were having a blizzard. The
Snow was falling rapidly.
I decided to take up the
Challenge. After putting on
Double layers of sweat pants
And sweat shirts, a head
Covering and gloves, I stepped
Out of my toasty house.
There was no traffic that night,
So I jogged down the middle
Of the street, snow crunching
With each step.
White soft flakes filled the air,
Melting after hitting my warm
Face. It was a magical winter
Wonderland.
The Peacock
Out of nowhere a beautiful
Peacock showed up in our
Quiet little neighborhood.
It struts around with its
Rainbow of feathers all
Spread out. It has this call
That sounds like someone’s
Being murdered. It won’t
Let anybody near–it might
Chase them anyway.
Circle
Birds flying in a whirlwind
Circle over my head
Ascending higher and higher
Boring a hole in the sky
To let down the
