If I could make someone
Else feel seen, feel safe
For a brief moment, feel

Drive-In
Back in our younger
Days we all enjoyed
Going to the drive-in.
Several of us crammed
In a car eating popcorn
And enjoying soft
Drinks snuck in. The
Movies were weird
But we barely noticed
Because we enjoyed
Each other’s company
More.
I’d Rather
In our lives we are
Making decisions
Every day. There’s
One kind of decision
That we make based
On preference. It’s
An I’d rather this or
That based purely
On the person’s
Preference.
