It Doesn’t Matter
What matters and what
Doesn’t is a big item on
The mind of most people.
It’s something a lot of
People lay awake nights
Mulling over. Then it
Becomes clear for them,
And they can finally
Sleep by counting Sheep.
The Awakening
Rumbling builds under the
Earth, and people run out
Of their houses in panic, not
Knowing what to do or
What’s causing it. Rumbling
Comes again but much
Milder. People start to
Understand this is not a
Harbinger of doom, but
A sign of a great awakening.
Spring
Gray cold days, barren trees,
No flowers, seasonal affective
Disorder flourishes. If it were
Not for Thanksgiving and
Christmas, one might as well
Hibernate. But there is hope.
Spring is coming, warmth and
Growth and the promise of
Renewal of life everywhere.
Journey
I’ve been to a lot of different
Places, I’ve roamed the world,
Lived in different countries and
Been to every state in our country.
I haven’t been home for a long
Time, but I feel something
Pulling me back and that
Something is you.
Charmed
Occasions in life are
Said to be charmed
When they have that
Quality of happiness
And magic and cast
A spell on the person
Receiving the charm.
Moments
We have moments in
Life that are a mixed
Bag of variety. Some
Are happy, some are
Sad, some are angry,
Some frustrating. The
Way to give life meaning
Is to remember the happy
Moments.
Angels
There are said to be many
Fallen angels roaming the
Earth. They fell out of favor
With God and roam around
Spreading misery and tempt
Christians from following God.
But we have a powerful ally
Called a guardian angel. This
Mighty being is able to fight
Off evil and temptation if we
Call upon him in the name
Of God for protection.
Mansion
The young couple had just
Gotten married and set
Out on that inevitable
Next step of finding a
Place to live. They both
Worked but didn’t make
That much money. They
Looked at houses in their
Price range and all were
Fairly humble dwellings.
But the new husband said
Whatever we buy and I
Carry you over the threshold
Over will be a mansion.
Purple Sunglasses
I gave her the purple sunglasses
Thinking she considered them a
Joke but she actually liked them.
She was like that, loving, open
And tolerant of my goofy ways.
It’s been two weeks since she
Has been missing. The only
Lead we have is that somebody
Thought they saw her being
Shoved into a car. And, well,
I did find the purple sunglasses
On the sidewalk.
